Funny Offer by US State Department

I got an email recently for a job posting by the US State Dept. They were looking for a Senior Systems Administrator for the US Embassy in Moscow. They were impressed with my resume (a 10 year old one) and wanted to know if I was interested. I told them the Resume they had was wildly outdated, but sure I'll bite, what was the offer. She called me up and told me the terms. The terms of employment were 3 years abroad with my family – for $65k I asked if the gal talking to me was serious – she was. I politely declined stating $65k was not even close to what a civilian Senior SysAdmin pays in my city, let alone with the hardship of living in what is now considered “enemy territory.” She said she understood and hung up the phone.
