(Self-rant) Left a toxic job for another one who turned to be even worse!

As the title is saying, I recently took a new job to leave a toxic one, but this one turned even worse. The joke is on me as I had read tons of negative reviews on Glassdoor but since it was more closely related to my field I took a leap of faith, only to end into another hopeless sinkhole. Now I am contemplating leaving my entire field, I’ve become convinced that the field is the problem, it breeds certain type of people and environment.

At my old job I was able to stand up for myself, but here I have been told by colleagues the way to survive is to be “yes mam” and apologize for anything they claim you did wrong. I am already updating my resume, and looking to apply for other places. But how do I survive in meantime, how not to take it personally, or keep a poker face while being grilled. I’d appreciate hearing if anyone went through a similar situation and came out better by finding a better job. I sincerely cannot understand managers who have zero integrity, compassion, humbleness, and respect.

Just FYI my position is middle to senior manager (not a director) but there seems to be a certain clique at the leadership level who are unhinged, including the president (of a 30 ppl. company size-wise)
