Currently my whole state is covered in smog from the wildfires in Canada. I work in a warehouse and yesterday the place was filling with smoke from outside.
Of course since it’s a warehouse we have all the dock doors open and are constantly unloading/loading trucks and bringing in the new trailers. It took a few hours but by the end of the day this huge warehouse was smokey.
Instead of letting us leave, “safety” has been going around and giving people Covid masks to work in and they closed the “unused” dock doors as a solution. Apparently employees were complaining to the Gm who didn’t see an issue with allowing us to keep working.
I’m in a panic because I have pretty bad asthma. Even going outside has been dangerous/scary. I swear if I walk into work today and the place is smokey/hazy I’m gonna turn and leave. It just can’t be safe working in a building for ten hours that’s filled with wildfire smoke LOL
Our air rating is currently at 162, very unhealthy levels.
