My company is so stingy. If an employee gets a raise they automatically miss out of the annual raise. It’s happened to me three times now.
What’s really annoying is they are two different things. Promotions obviously come with title/job changes, learned skills, etc. annual raises should be based on inflation/COL.
I took a new job and got a $5 promotion for it. Told me I wouldn’t be eligible for my raise (knew that already). I tried to fight it saying inflation is really kicking me down right now (like everyone else). Their response was well if we gave you a raise for that, what if the economy goes back to normal? We all know it isn’t happening anytime soon eyeroll
Anyone else’s company do this?
