Ok I’m on disability for a chronic disease and I don’t make much money. I have section 8 which helps pay my rent but I want more out of life.
I read that there’s a program that allows people with Section 8 buy a house; The Housing Choice Voucher. Well I’m in L.A. and was told by HUD that the program is closed due to insufficient funds, but I also was told by a realtor that the program is active. This realtor was supposed to email the info but she always forgets to do so.
So I figured I’d reach out to you guys to see if anyone has any info. Owning my home would open so many doors for me.
I’m open to buying my home the traditional way with getting a job (even though that will effect my government insurance that pays for my 10K a month medicine. But that a whole other issue) for a while so I can qualify.
Where there’s a will there’s a way and I’m
not afraid to admit that I have no idea where to start on this new journey. I literally need a life coach but as you can imagine I can’t afford one.
So I turn to you guys. I know this is anti Wifi but I know a few people who somehow bought a house with no job so…
