My girlfriend works at Walgreens. It’s in Texas and she makes 16 an hour which is a decent wage for her. But she’s having so many issues there with managers. First off something that can’t be fixed is they keep cutting her hours when they get mad at her. Then there’s some other weird things. For one her manager, jerry, straight up yells and screams at her when he gets mad. One time she asked him a question and he went up to another girl and said “can you help her I don’t speak brown”. He’s white and she’s middle eastern. Then there’s another thing where they’re giving her “homework” and then not allowing her to do it on the clock and forcing her to do it at home? Then there’s little things where they’ll make a mistake and when a manager or corporate will ask what happened they use her as a scapegoat and blame her. She wants to go to hr but I feel like they won’t do anything. Who else can we go to?
