I'm honestly at the point where I just don't care anymore about much of anything as its just a complete and utter waste of time. The whole point of working is to afford a place to live, food and transportation to not die with enough left over to retire and enjoy life a little in between yet regardless of whatever education, skills, or experience you have just surviving off of one salary is not possible anymore. Even with multiple degrees, one of which is a masters in one of the most in demand fields, multiple certifications and years of experience I can't even afford an apartment by myself let alone a car to replace my college clunker from years ago or actually eat more than once a day. Seeing a doctor is a fantasy let alone actually taking preventative measures for the cancer that wiped out most of my family and all of their money (they didn't have much to begin with either so they died pretty fast and horribly). No amount of hard work or promotions lead to meaningful wage growth and the best I can hope for is job hopping because companies continuously screw employees everywhere. Its almost like our society has devolved into a sick joke anymore and its getting so much harder to care about even trying at this rate.
