TLDR: multi-billion company won't pay $250 for training to do my job
I'm an analyst and my current position at my company for past 3 yrs has changed significantly. I'm now tasked with creating all kinds of reports thru an application. I'm fine with that, however I'm completely self-taught. I feel like some things are likely harder to decipher due to no formal training. I want to have additional training thru data camp after researching options. It's $250 for 1 yr which I can complete all needed training in that time period. Told my boss. His answer well if you were more IT then maybe, but it's too $$.
My company posted +$4bil last qtr in profit. So $250 for me to do my job in an efficient manner shouldn't be a stretch. I've got 10 yrs in with the company & I'm well past 40 and don't want to leave. But seriously pissed me off!
