As per title, I did remind him 3 times before. First on Monday, second & third time during the day before. He even approached me to confirm prior approval.
Fast forward on the second day of PTO, he emailed me saying that I've been offline for half day and another email asking why I wasn't in team meeting. In my defense I always used Out of Office feature before going for PTO/MC but this time I really forgot.
So I screenshot the email of the approval with his name on it and emailed him back. To my shock (not really) he just noted me without an apology. An hour later he follow up with another email saying I should practice using Out of Office feature whenever I'm away as if I never bother to use it before.
This isn't even his first rodeo. Last time he sent an email to me with HR rep cc in it saying I'm about to go on a very long PTO without applying first, which is not true. Did the same thing send the ss as proof and yup, no apology no nothing.
Should I highlight this to HR or just confront him directly as I can't work with him if his lack of awareness one day gonna cost me my job when he decides to talk shit to upper management. This recent incident alone already gives me anxiety.
