Too young to get tired.

I disagree with that statement wholeheartedly. Yes, I'm young, just really starting to get out there but older people telling me I'm “too young to get tired” just feels so demeaning. We're all people. And we all function a little differently. On top of my mental health I struggle in multiple ways. Someone telling me “your too young to get tired. If I could switch with you I would” just pisses me off. By all means, let's swap. You can have the mental health struggles and stress of my life. I work because I have bills to pay and I need income to survive in this world. But I'm not gonna let people who could care less about me run over me till my back breaks. The expectations work places have for you are many of times unrealistic. And older co-workers coming at you with their “words of wisdom” sure…

It doesn't matter if I work 30 hours a week, 50 hours or 100. We're all capable of getting tired.
