Getting used to it

For context, I don’t live in U.S, and starting to work young isn’t really norm here. I don’t think I have it rough, but even my simple uni internship got me thinking about the work concept again. I just don’t get how majority of the humanity ended up in this situation where they have to give half of their day for decades to actually earn their rights. How people just get used to this? It kinda feels like I am the only one who questions this in my immediate environment. I want to be happy, I want to live as long as I can but believing in a future that I will be happy just gets harder and harder. How did everyone just got… used to this? I ask myself “Can I do it too? Will I get used to it?” and I don’t even know if this question is…

I just don’t get how majority of the humanity ended up in this situation where they have to give half of their day for decades to actually earn their rights. How people just get used to this? It kinda feels like I am the only one who questions this in my immediate environment.

I want to be happy, I want to live as long as I can but believing in a future that I will be happy just gets harder and harder. How did everyone just got… used to this? I ask myself “Can I do it too? Will I get used to it?” and I don’t even know if this question is full of hope or despair. I don’t think it would make me happy, but at least I wouldn’t feel like an alien.
