I currently work for Allied Universal in Jacksonville. Gods, I know. Was a mistake. But they were the only ones willing to hire me at the stage of life I was in. I've been with the company for two and a half years now. However, a few events have begun to pop up that makes me think that AUS is shutting down, or at least is shutting down operations in my area. We've lost security contracts to local, and dare I say more competent, security companies. Half of our vehicle fleet is gone. Even the fleet service company we had dropped us cause our credit went into the toilet. Now my boss is doing a very illegal thing by getting rentals and going around, putting them in guard names instead of in the name of the company. I don't know what I should be doing? Should I try to leave and join a different company? Should I stick around and ride this out? I'm lost on what I should be doing.
(Yes, there is documentation of what he is doing with the rentals. In fact, he did it to one of the guards at my current site. So we, the other guards, have been taking great care in carefully using the rental car so as to not send the other guard's credit in the toilet.)
