What the hell is wrong with the job market today?

Long story short: It's really, really hard to get a job. Why? I don't know. But there's more to add to this. So come along. I'm 18 and I finished school last year. Exams, stress, you name it. Been through and never want to go through that again. I was supposed to go to college but I was very skeptical of it, it seemed scummy, more like a money grab than a good opportunity to get a good job. I cared more about career and money than anything else. So I didn't go. Of course, my parents were disappointed, and still insisted to go next year, so I just postponed my entry, nothing too hard to do. And then, you realize that there's time. I wanted to use this time to actually find an “apprenticeship”, a type of job that teaches you about the job it will lead you to…

I wanted to use this time to actually find an “apprenticeship”, a type of job that teaches you about the job it will lead you to become. I've tried many apprenticeships, failed. Most of them completely ghosted me. Then, I had to try basic jobs, you know, the ones you get paid minimum wage and are considered “competitive”.

I applied to so many entry level jobs, that clearly stated that I require no experience, and I didn't get rejected, no, I got ghosted.

You might think this is all because of my qualifications or skills. No, I've got pretty good stuff in my resume. But I'm starting to think that there is some sort of bias to how companies choose candidates, and it probably has to do with my nationality and not being from the country that I live in right now.

Maybe I am wrong. But it's been a year. I've had to completely withdraw my offer from college. I found no job or any other opportunity and I can't take this crap anymore. College is just a debt generator and I am not willing to enslave me and my family to the system more than we are already.

Worst of all, no one sees my side of the issue and blames me for all of this. They call me an idiot, a sucker who wants to be different. No, I want to be rich. You don't get rich saving. You get rich making. It's common sense.
