Basically, I was working an hourly position and got promoted to a salaried position and was given $10k raise. I was super excited until I got my paycheck and realized it was the exact same amount as my previous ones. At my company, hourly employees earn overtime so any hours logged outside of 9-5 are paid time-and-a-half. I’m feeling super bummed out and a little bit scammed by my company. I was super excited to be promoted and had been working hard at my new job but now I’m just feeling pissed off.
***side note: CEO makes $4M / year and was given $200M+ in shares as a sign on bonus
