A rant about how I should’ve known better after reading stories here

Lots of context for this story: I work at a gym, and I used to report to a Fitness Coordinator. She left a year ago, and there was just the manager left. He said he had too much on his plate and asked me for extra help (I got a nice little raise and more hours, which worked great for me). I worked alongside him for about 8 months; and then he left. So there was no one at like mid-management, and they needed someone to take care of day-day changes and make sure the place didn’t go to shit. I got asked if I wanted a higher level role for the summer, it would be a temporary role with the option of moving into a full time permanent position at the end of the summer. As to be expected, they “forgot” that they had offered it to me even…

As to be expected, they “forgot” that they had offered it to me even though I have a written copy of both directors saying that this was a guarantee and now I will be demoted at the end of summer.

Yes I have already applied to a bunch of jobs. No I cannot quit this one right now as I need to pay for food, and rent. They expect me to train the new manager, instead of just giving me that job. I’m so pissed.
