My wife just had me watch the Titanic (1997) and I knew the story somewhat beforehand. But seeing the film only made me think about how the presumptuousness of people and lack of empathy in the pursuit of power(profit) can cause so much pain.
And as with many things in history a submarine visiting the literal grave of capitalism failed and killed people in the same pursuit. At this point I am not convinced that any technological advancement can stop the people in power from oppressing those without.
