I am looking for some insight. In my position I hire about 100 remote teaching staff a year, usually through zoom interviews. Anyone we hire as a manager or admin has an additional in-person interview. I have noticed that since the Pandemic we have a growing number of applicants who confirm their zoom or in-person interview and agree to the day and time, but who do not show up, and who do not respond when we contact them. These are applicants who’ve been responsive all the way up until the day of the interview. The interview team ends wasting valuable time, and recently I even drove an hour each way for an in-person, third round interview for someone who did not show up or respond when I reached out. Is anyone else experiencing this or maybe doing it themselves? No judgement, I’m just deeply curious about this trend so any insight would be helpful.
