My father forced us into modern day slavery

Hey there folks, My dear father forced me, my twin brother and beloved mother to work for him for next to nothing (£5 for 4 days work of 10-12 hr days for me and my brother, and £150 for my mother). Hey there folks,

My dear father forced me, my twin brother and beloved mother to work for him for next to nothing (£5 for 4 days work of 10-12 hr days for me and my brother, and £150 for my mother).

He abused my beloved mother relentlessly physically and emotionally to the point she suffered deep depression and tried to unalive herself twice, and was reduced to a physical wreck from the years of hard labour (this happened from when me and my brother were 8 up to end of 15 years of age). He tried to manipulate us against her but he failed. We live seperately from him longer than when we lived with him now and I couldnt be more grateful.

I know the best revenge is a life well lived and I can confirm this to be the case, however the scars and wounds have taken a long time to heal (and are continuously healing now).

My mothers dream was to go to uni and study veterinary science, but her immediate family and my father shit that idea down completely. This is why she swore that she will help us in anyway she can so that we can get the jobs of our dreams (my brother wants to work for the Ministry of Defence as an IT specialist and I want to one day work for CERN as an Applied Physicist).

Thank you for reading and for your understanding.
