So I work part-time in the food industry. I recently had my scheduled hours plummet. I was originally working 20-25 hours a week, now I’m lucky if I get any hours. They “forgot” to put me on the schedule for almost 5 weeks in a row, and when I made numerous calls to managers and bosses, they then put me on the schedule. One shift. Three hours.
This isn’t feasible at all and it’s the last straw for me. This week I wasn’t scheduled any hours. I also have been demanding pay stubs because there’s no transparency with my tips (my job relies heavily on them, and I’m afraid what I’m getting tipped and what I’m getting paid isn’t adding up). But I’ve been working here for almost half a year now, and I have yet to see a pay stub. I just get money deposited into my account out of the blue. I’ve raised these concerns to my managers but they never follow up, and I’ve texted them the same things for almost a month now.
I can’t quit my job, realistically speaking. I’ve gone through a handful of interviews at other places, but they never followed up. What do I do?
