Hi guys,
I like people who are good at their jobs and care about people and whenever I see it I try to leave them/the company good reviews.
Some of these people I've become friends with outside of their work. The thing that gets me is the people who i'm friends with, who i've left good reviews for, they all got fired for various bullshit reasons. They keep the shitty employees though.
I don't know if this is just in my head or something but it almost seems like if you praise a worker for their hard work/work ethic, they might get fired for that.
I don't know how true that is, as it's just something I thought of while pondering why in the fuck this person got fired. It feels like they don't want that employee to have ammo for a pay raise or something.
The industries where this has happened were from Logistics, Restaurant workers, and retail stores.
Is this actually the case or am i totally off here?
My intent was always for this person to be praised and maybe promoted, not fired! It really pains me to think that I had some part in getting them fired, but I don't know how true it even is. Can any managers chime in?
