A relative works for an organisation where the manager repeatedly phones employees when they are off sick or on annual leave. The calls are not emergency sitautions and none of these staff work ‘on call’ roles, so the calls are unwanted and unnecessary. The kicker is, no-one can contact her when she’s on leave, and she goes apeshit if anyone dare bother her outside working hours! This is in England. While I’m guessing this isn’t illegal, surely this must contravene more than just local HR policies?
This is probably more rant than query but the double standards between staff and managers is ridiculous!
