Remote work but not for teachers?

Ok, so I read about many people claiming they refuse to go back into the office and want to continue to work remotely. However, it’s funny because as soon as teachers mention doing the exact same thing, the public will be against them and furious. It’s usually comical to read the argument that online/virtual schooling is not nearly as good as in person learning (I do agree with this statement). Why allow virtual schools at all at this point? Most of your virtual schools are taking money from your local schools anyways. Why such a double standard towards professions from the public?
