I don't even know where to begin with this, or even if this is the right place to do so. I am a college student trying to become a master mechanic and got the opportunity to work at a shop to help become a mater mechanic. I gave my two weeks at my old job which was pretty good to me and paid well and worked with my schedule to pursue this opportunity. I was told by the manager and owner of the mechanic shop the education was important and they prioritize education and encourage all of there employees to go to school, they said they would work with my schedule after letting them know that i am a full time student and my only availability was the Friday-Monday and that was subject to change with the upcoming summer semester. Fast forward 3 weeks and being trained to be able to do everything that is expected of me and more, i get called into the office stating that my new schedule of being available Friday-Saturday and only being able to do half days on Monday and Tuesday was no going to work and that i am an expense instead of being considered a team member, and being told that it was better to part ways, instead of me working there.
Now i am jobless, and am searching for a new job that will work with my schedule, my old job won't hire me back due to having a 1 year rehire policy and no employer is giving any call backs, and it is driving me insane. I wish i could get a job to pay for my education and my bills.
TL;DR: Took an opportunity that i was needed to become a master mechanic, i didn't work out and now have no job and can't seem to get hired by anyone to pay for schooling and bills.
