Hey I'm an afghan who came to iran for some months now. After getting to know this thread and reading alot of your experiences i decided to share my own.
I'm working in an electric store selling wire coils and communication parts 12 hours a day. My job is to unloading and loading trucks with those parts. Also delivering and receiving those parts from other stores by trolley. It's a physically hard job but i have to do it no matter what. The problem is i almost do everything at the store but my boss refuses to pay me more or even paying me on time. Cleaning the store everyday, bringing him his food, making him coffe and doing almost all his personal matters alongside my main my main task wich is unloading. all afghans are underpaid here, my salary as a labour is $90 a month wich is a quarter of what an Iranian worker earns. Since they know we have no other choice they threat us however they like because for getting a job as an illegal immigrant here you must give your passport to the employer. That's why they literally owns us. I try to find a way to quit but it seems like it's not something possible now.
My purpose in writing this post was to say that working conditions are bad all over the world, only in some places worse than others.
