I saw so many posts, when someone couldn't go to work and had reprecutions about it… So bizzare to me.
In Poland we have something called pto on demand. Normal pto needs to be aproved and they can deny if there's a loot of work. But we have pto on demand, 4 days a year, when you can just call a minute before your shift and tell you will not be at work. Period. Doesn't matter what the reason is. Maybe you need to put your dog down or you are completely drunk, or just wanna play games. And your company can't do shit about it.
