You will never really move up internally until you're about 15 years in and all you can do is gain skills and prove you can work somewhere for 3 to 4 years at a time. Once you've hit about three or four years move on to the next job. Always punch up. I'm a little over 10 years in the machine work I just got a dream job I punched up the entire time and now I'm doing great. Right now I'm making microchips and pretty soon I'm going to be working with robotics. You can make your way from the bottom to the top but you got a job hop f*** everybody
