Verbal sexual assault just a casual occurrence in customer service

I worked at a place called “Canadian Tire” in a little white-trash, podunk town in Canada. I was 16 when I started and 18 when I quit. During this time, an old man came in regularly to shop and bother us cashiers. This old man, probably 65 years old, said the following, plus so much more, to me during my time there: My first day, asked me if the carpets matched the drapes (relating to my bleached blonde hair). Then, when I didn’t respond, said “Aw come on, you’re supposed to be embarrassed by a horny old man.” Told my male coworker that “My ass is so bouncy, he just imagines grabbing it every time I turn around.” He then motioned in a ‘bouncing’ motion towards me, and winked. These are the two examples that stick in my mind, as I was SIXTEEN YEARS OLD. He also slapped my ass…

I worked at a place called “Canadian Tire” in a little white-trash, podunk town in Canada. I was 16 when I started and 18 when I quit. During this time, an old man came in regularly to shop and bother us cashiers.

This old man, probably 65 years old, said the following, plus so much more, to me during my time there:

  1. My first day, asked me if the carpets matched the drapes (relating to my bleached blonde hair). Then, when I didn’t respond, said “Aw come on, you’re supposed to be embarrassed by a horny old man.”

  2. Told my male coworker that “My ass is so bouncy, he just imagines grabbing it every time I turn around.” He then motioned in a ‘bouncing’ motion towards me, and winked.

These are the two examples that stick in my mind, as I was SIXTEEN YEARS OLD. He also slapped my ass on multiple occasions. My workplace did absolutely nothing about it, regardless of me complaining every time he came into the store. It got to the point that I just needed to excuse myself to a different part of the store when he came in.
