Background: supervisor was placed at our company (as a spy?) by the company that pays our wages. We are technically employed by a university but this other company (well call this company A) is also in charge.
Last week supervisor broke into our managers office to obtain photos of a coworkers transcript with the intention of getting her fired. Manager was not aware of supervisor entering her office for this information to send to company A behind our managers back. The employee did not consent or have any idea the supervisor was viewing and taking photos on her personal phone of the transcript. Is this punishable by law? We are all very angry and worried that anyone has access to our personal information. Our manager is doing nothing to reprimand but making a passive aggressive email.
