I started working at a Midwestern gas station two weeks ago. Yesterday was pay day and I didn't get paid. The day before, the company made a $0 deposit in my account. (I assume to establish if my account was legit). My boss isn't in until Monday and I have a shift starting this morning in a couple of hours to open the place.
I bust my ass for this place. They are struggling to keep employees so I agreed to learn all of the positions in the store. I have been pulling 10/11 hour days with them. Now, I can't even get to work.
The more I think about it…. I don't believe I filled out any tax info. They didn't even interview me. They called and told me when to show up, had me watch a few training videos and immediately threw me on a register.
I'm going to go leave the key at the store because I'm pissed.
