I submitted an application to my local police station for a background check, they said it takes 14 days but because of covid the queue is a little backed up. The thing is is that I need my background check to work at a new dispensary that is opening up. I have already interviewed and got and accepted a position there. But because it is taking longer than usual to complete my background check I'm concerned that they might rescind my position. Is that something they can do? I am just curious because I've been screwed over by employers in the past for ridiculous reasons and I'm nervous I will lose my opportunity and I really really need this job.
