This sub needs reform.

Before you all get up in arms, ask yourself this: do we really want to just be another subreddit that posts screenshots of tweets and articles? Are we really going to make our standards the same as subs like r/conspiracy? Why are our standards not higher than the “Vaccines are gonna kill off 75% of the population and cause the Great Reset” crowd? I personally think it completely devalues the cause when the standards for a post on this subreddit are that low. I see posts on here that are factually questionable at best (almost always tweets). We don't need to twist the facts. They speak for themselves. Therefore, I propose some new rules for this subreddit: Meme posts must be flaired as such No screenshots of articles with no source anymore. Therefore, I propose some new rules for this subreddit:

  • Meme posts must be flaired as such
  • No screenshots of articles with no source anymore. Ideally you should be posting a link to the article itself, but if you post a screenshot of it you MUST provide a link to the article in the comments. Maybe have automod repost it in a pinned comment?
  • Y'all are gonna find this one controversial, but ban screenshots of tweets unless they're purely opinion and not stating facts. Anyone can say anything in a tweet. Think of it this way; you see a tweet on this sub with a neat pro-worker fact. Later, you have a debate with someone you know that is anti-worker. You use this fact and they show you it's completely divorced from reality. You now look like an idiot and your argument is completely ruined. Full stop. They will now always see you as the silly dumbass leftist that believes anything they read. You will never change their mind now.

The conservatives need to twist facts to validate their arguments. We don't. We're better than that. It's time we take this sub a little more seriously.
