I was reading here in antiwork, and I thought it can't be that bad
For context, I was 7 mo. pregnant at the start of the pandemic, and my employer refused to give me remote work so I quit. It required a lifestyle adjustment, but it was well worth it, considering we are all alive and healthy. Side bonus that it spurred my husband into finding a better paying job.
Anyway, I do side gigs and have a small pension to get by. I haven't been able to go back to work because child care is $300 a week where I live and we make “too much money” (over 22k) to get vouchers. So I've pretty much given up until my youngest is able to go to school or prices come down (spoiler alert they wont.)
Anyways I was reading here and I decided to look at my old indeed account and was shocked to see just how correct and on the nose this forum is.
I have the link but idk if I can post it.
Here is some excerpts though:

BTW Purchasing is basically customer service, but instead of dealing with customers your dealing with suppliers (vendors). Lots of calls, emails, getting yelled at, and then putting all that crap into a spread sheet.
Pitiful.
