Worked at Lowes Home Improvement starting September of 2021. Starting pay was 13.80, which was low for the position I applied for. About 2 months ago, the unloading crew got a raise (my position). I talked to everyone on the crew, some were at like 15, a few at 16, and found out I went up to 14. Also found out a brand new hire, not 2 weeks in, was making 15. So I went and talked to my manager about it, and got the “I'll look and see”. After a few weeks of not hearing back, when I clocked in for my shift 3 weeks ago, I just said Fuck it. Grabbed my stuff, found the manager on duty, said I quit and walked out.
Got an offer from their biggest competitor (Home Depot) for more than what I was asking for.
Tbh walking out has a freeing feeling to it
