PIPs performance Improvement Plans

I just got a PIP today. All the reasons listed for the PIP are very clear they are more because of manager's inability to actually manage a remote employee. I'm beyond frustrated but I pretended that I was grateful for the opportunity to improve. I personally think PIPs should be illegal or that employees should be able to submit PIPs on their managers. I'm also torn between signing it or waiting. My boss said she's not giving it to HR. But I have an interview for another role today internally so I'm going to hold off on it. Ugh, I just want to quit my job and start a little cafe. I hate corporate America.
