I’m going to start out by apologizing because I will probably be perceived as an asshole for this post.
I have a genuine question for anyone making the federal minimum wage of 7.25/hr. Why have you not gotten a different job yet? I’m an able bodied male in my 20s, which already gives me an advantage over many people, but even my first job when I was 16 I made 8.25/hr. I seriously do not know or have any idea (other than physical or mental disabilities) why someone would take a job where you make so little money. I’ve worked manual labor jobs or similarly physically challenging jobs since graduating high school, and I have never accepted a job for less than 18/hr. I tried my best not to sound like an asshole, but it’s a difficult question to ask without sounding like an asshole.
