I'm in school to be a vet tech and recently accepted a job to be a kennel attendant. I do a lot of manual labor now and it's especially tiring since the last 5 years I've worked on my ass at a call center.
I work 7 hour a day without any break. I'm in Florida so from what I can find that's insane but legal. I'm currently working a 7 hour week and am scheduled to work 8 days in a row in the future.
Idk if this is common for kennel attendants, but I'm so exhausted. I understand we're understaffed but 7 hour constantly moving and cleaning and bathing and restraining with not even a 15 minute break is maddening.
I'm currently drunk and with friends so I'm kinda ranting so idk if I'm just ranting it looking for advice or what
I'm 2 weeks until this job and I've taken a nap after work everyday since starting
