I reported this dude for harassing me for at least 6 months. I told four different managers before somebody finally got back to me about writing a statement. This guy has got to be in his 30's while I am a college-aged girl.
It started with hugging me all the time. I never initiated hugs but when he would come up to me and hug me I would just give him a pat on the back. Then it was calling me cute or saying I have pretty eyes. Then it was poking my stomach if I was standing next to him or reaching up to get something from a high shelf. Then it was cornering me when no one was around (maybe to intimidate me or something). So many other little things he did that would make this post longer than it needs to be. The last straw was when he came in for a hug and I told him I didn't want a hug but he hugged me anyway. Not even two minutes later he demanded a hug again and I said no but he hugged me anyway. After that I told one of the managers.
Anyway, turns out he has a history of this behaviour. He's been talked to at least once in the past about inappropriate behaviour towards co-workers. Every single employee knows that he is creepy towards younger girls. My complaints were not shocking to anyone because he's done this before!! His file is filled with complaints of all kinds.
Upper management asked to talk to me a few days ago. They said “action has been taken” so I asked if he still works here. And guess what? He does. Not even a suspension. The “action” that has been taken is that he has been talked to. Again. They don't care.
He also knows I reported him because he hasn't said a word to me for the past few times I've seen him. Its obvious that he knows. And it's so uncomfortable to be at work at the same time as him. Fuck this place.
