My boss and coworkers already have my phone number. When I was asked to join the WhatsApp group by a superior coworker I made it clear that I wasn’t interested or comfortable downloading the app. I got a look like “The boss wants you to do it, if you don’t you and I are going to be reprimanded.” I begrudgingly downloaded it and joined the group. I now feel tethered to my job outside of working hours. I figured my cell number was sufficient.
Has anyone else experienced this? I’m just looking for thoughts and/or advice. Thank you & happy Friday.
