Trainer calls me almost daily to check in (but will talk for hours) even on weekends.

We communicate often as they are responsible for training me as a new employee. I try my best to get along with them especially since much of my performance reviews from management are based off what my trainer tells management about my progress. The thing is trainer will call me almost daily to check in but ends up talking non stop. For hours. Past work hours and sometimes even on the weekends. I understand they may need someone to talk to but its just too much. We will talk about work related stuff a bit but then it goes off to random subjects. If I dont find a way to end the call, they will literally talk for 5 hours straight. I have other people I need to talk to, things to do, etc. How do I get it across that I want to keep non work related stuff at…
