I wasn’t sure where to post this, but this sub seemed a good place to start. Essentially I’ve been with same dead-end customer service job for 3 years, got promoted to manager a few months ago and things have gone downhill dramatically since.
My boss has started cussing me out, and told a few staff members not to trust me with tasks as I have “mental issues”. He has taken to berating me even in my free-time by calling to go over my “mistakes” for the day with snide comments about my lack of intelligence and laziness (for the record, no other coworkers including his assistant manager agree, and in fact believe my performance has increased, but I digress). He and upper management have accused me of tampering with equipment and have started writing me up for fabricated reasons with no evidence using vague terms like “failure to delegate” and such.
Honestly, I would happily go along and agree that maybe I am just a poor worker if it weren’t for the fact that this guy is just straight up corrupt. He gave my minor coworker a beer on camera the other day, and ignores labor and discrimination laws.
Essentially, my question is, with 2 write ups in 3 weeks with a third and final seeming inevitable, should I turn in my 2 weeks or just wait for the final? I’ve already started looking for new jobs but it’s been a slow process.
edit: should also note me and a few other coworkers he’s “targeted” have reported him for various violations to both upper management and HR and haven’t gotten anywhere with that.
