Friend was being paid for doing nothing. Winning!

So a friend’s company merged about a year and a half ago. His position was high end administrative/supervisor work. He was seriously overworked and well paid. Had to travel often, lots of responsibility. But after the merger his position became redundant and he was forgotten. He brought it up with his boss, but they decided together the layoff was obviously coming but neither had a clue when it would happen. So chill out and collect the checks. So for 18 months he got to chill in his office and do whatever he felt like doing. But of course I’m posting this because after 18 months his free ride finally ended and he was handed his severance package. No worries though, he married a sugar momma not to long ago and is living the dream. Dude, has time to think over his next move.
