The title says it all. I got a call very early this morning from a co worker telling me I need to join this mandatory meeting. And in the meeting our managers explained basically we are paid too much and the company needs to save money so they are hiring foreign employees (nothing against the new employees, of course I wish them all the best!) and our last day depends on how quickly they staff and train all the new employees.
I cried in this meeting (camera and microphone were muted). But still, I couldn't help but feel like discarded trash. I gave 4 years of my life, and I was flexible with every single change they made to my responsibilities, my schedule, and I did everything I was asked to do with no complaints. I started job hunting today but I just got so overwhelmed so I think I'll start again tomorrow. Not sure why I'm making this post, guess I just needed to get it off my chest or something. But if anyone's hiring let me know!
