I was wondering what's the most absurd thing you can hear from capitalists? For me it is: “You only get paid as much as you bring value to the company”. I have a new job now (actually have had for 3 years already) ,but I am getting paid more and the work is a bit easier and I get paid better.
Another thing is: “C'mon, if you think I should pay you more give me an idea that would at least generate me $100k and I'll pay you more”, etc… I mean if I had an idea I'd pretty much do it myself.
But this: “You only get paid as much as you bring value to the company” is the most absurd and overused statement.
Also, this one: “You're not getting paid much because a trained monkey could do your job”. Sure, lets replace nurses with monkeys. In many European countries healthcare workers are underpaid. In some Eastern European countries you'd earn more in a McDonald's than as a nurse for the reference.
