I'm a guy in my late 50's living in a rural area. I was going back to my van with a couple of doors at Home Depot. The HD kart guy (kid in his early 20's) offered to help me load.
Sure. While he's helping I comment on how good the restaurant nearby smells. He says they'll probably have to shut down soon. Why I ask. Because they can't find any cooks. I tell him him there is an easy way to find more cooks. How he asks, sounding interested. I look him straight in the eye and say “pay them more money”
He stopped talking to me after that.
