A bit of rant: clueless management

Hi, I will try to be brief. Tldr: current and prospect employers has no clue about the way forward but no one cuts them and they keep business as usual. I am currently in an British automotive company doing a technical work. My 1st 2nd immediate managers are quitting in fee months. They say it is unrelated. First my boss then his boss. Their boss has not mention anything to us regarding the future. Out of my department everyone else is kind of in titanic mode leaving the ship before the non confirmed final. Board of management acts as business as usual whilst is not placating rumours. People is leaving, no one is hiring as we got restricted expenditure since our former CEO left (the CEO from the filial company is managing both now). Rumours go from shutting down before 2023 ends to we are been replaced by tech team…

Hi,

I will try to be brief.

Rumours go from shutting down before 2023 ends to we are been replaced by tech team from the same corporative group. Top level managers haven't left yet because they would be strongly penalised.

Since the former CEO left, profit is paramount and we are pushed around changing the priorities trying to win orders all around Europe. Some say it is to get any income to actually build something.

The thing is I need to look after myself and I had an interview with another company, part of a big group. This company has their products made by the parent company and now they want to differentiate.

Interview went well, it was for senior level or low lvl management role. I was told I am senior level prospect.

Fine, let's see the offer in few days.

I asked what was the department goal (bringing investigations in house to gain flexibility and impose 'our signature'). Then I asked what percentage of how many investigations were needed to achieve so and in what amount of time.

No idea, TBD… I guess 'playing by ear' was to offensive.

The feeling is that this 'IDK I'll find out'is okay at managerial level.
