A couple of months ago, my boss texted me a few hours before my shift to let me know it has been cancelled. Today, I texted them that I can’t come in this evening. Let’s see if they’re a hypocrite and get me trouble for not following “proper procedure.”

Wish me luck boys. I swear I can hear keyboards clacking and meetings getting set up to discuss my unprofessionalness. Just to clarify, we’re supposed to do all our communication by phone (then send an email for paper trail) or email only. We’re not supposed to use our personal phones at all.
