Antiwork

A lot of people have quit my fully remote company and I love it. A few years in and I’m a senior employee.

Just because the job is remote doesn’t mean they don’t overload you with work and burn you out. We still have to log 8 hours a day and they give everyone more work than can realistically be done in that timeframe. They can justify underpaying because “remote” is a “benefit” They replace everyone by outsourcing to third world countries and everything is going downhill. Plus people like to work with people who can understand them and the areas they live in and the time zone is difficult to manage. Plus it’s bad for morale. There’s a major restructure coming. That’s never a good sign. They also constantly complain we don’t make the company enough money. If I didn’t have a pressing financial need right now I would also leave. Im just so tired. Everyone good has left including many leaders and longterm employees.
