A rant about being a nurse.

How in the ever living hell are these shifts considered safe and acceptable? I don’t mind 12 hour shifts, that’s fine. But forcing us to flip flop from 12 hour shifts starting at 7am and one’s starting at 7pm is insane. It’s not safe. I don’t care how many days they “graciously” put between the two. A fucking decade. And then they act like we should be honored for the pleasure.

I’m not anti union. There are good things. But this is insane and unsafe. You’d think the hospital and union would agree that safest practice with the best outcome is preferred. But nope. Makes me want to overthrow the union.
