I’ve noticed that the vast majority of posts on this subreddit are fairly negative. Through no fault of their own, people are tired of getting shit on by their employers. So I figured I’d post something positive and previously unthinkable at my job.
A year after I joked about starting earlier and getting done earlier to my boss, he approached me a few weeks ago and asked how I felt about working a 7-5, four day week instead of the current 8-5, five day week. I work as a trim carpenter for a small outfit that specializes in remodels and it’s just me and my boss so this to me was huge because he listened to me and went above what I asked for. In my line of work you don’t normally see that. So with that, I’m all done with work for the week now, I’ll go on a nice bike ride tomorrow to celebrate and make some lunch for my hard working wife.
