I just found out from my old coworker friend that while I got laid off for voicing my opinion we could continue to work from home while exceeding all production and being liked by my co workers because I’d talk to them like real people and go on hikes/out to drinks with them.
One of the high ups in the company who is super rich, got a DUI and was arrested and missed work for a few days but got zero punishment and had the money to move within a mile of the office but not enough money or sense to call and Uber. Along with him being older and using “while not on purpose” “outdated” old phrases and being constantly late to meetings.
The company let’s go of someone who did nothing wrong but voice his thoughts with lists of logic on why it’s good but when a higher up literally can’t keep up with “company culture” and gets a DUI and is slowing down the company by being late to meetings they do nothing
